Zombie Revenge is a 1999 beat 'em up spin-off game of The House of the Dead series.
Plot[]
In the present day, the government is working on a top secret plan to utilise the dead for military purposes; Project U.D.S. (UnDead Soldier). However, just before it was ready to launch properly, the project was thrown into chaos by some unknown entity, and the undead were unleashed, completely taking over the city a year later.
Three of AMS' best agents; Stick Breitling, Linda Rotta and Rikiya Busujima are sent out to eliminate the zombie horde, and investigate the person responsible for this mess, a mysterious person known as 'Zed'.

- Fighting Mode: This mode allows players to utilise their VMU raised characters to fight against one another, or against a CPU opponent.
- Training Mode: Connects to the VMU Zombie Revenge Raising Game.
Players can raise characters using the Dreamcast's VMU. In this minigame players can feed their characters with food items found in the main game, raising the characters stats for Fighting mode. There are also two mini games to play; Zombie Fishing, a simple fishing game that can be used to increase attack power in the character and Zombie Doubt, a memory matching game that if done successfully will increase the defence of the raised character.
Trivia[]
- Rikiya Busujima also appears in Project X Zone, where he is the only The House of the Dead character. This also marks the only time any of the cast were used outside this game.
- Thomas Rogan and G are seen on Linda's laptop at the beginning of the game.
- The game was planned to be ported to PlayStation 2 by Acclaim, but was ultimately cancelled.
- This is the first game in the series to have the antagonist creatures be 'human' originally rather than bio-engineered creatures.
