Zobio is a huge zombie with green skin. He wears a tattered blue short sleeve jacket over his torso, although his chest is exposed (literally on the left side as his flesh has rotted away exposing some of his rib cage). The back of it has a huge cut out in the shape of a heart. His head is poorly bandaged with black hair jutting out from the wraps. His right ear has a cut taken out of it, and his left one is covered by his bandaged head covering.
His left eye glows a bright red through an unknown purple liquid that drips down the left side of his face, whilst his right eye is covered by some sort of eyepatch. He has a scar that travels from his right eye down to his mouth in a zig zag pattern, and surgical scars across the right side of his torso that have been forced together with heavy duty staples.
Zobio wears brown pants that are well worn through in the knees and a black belt with a gold buckle to keep them up. He remains bare footed.
History[]
Zobio worked as a prison guard for Dr. Curien, when he was assigned to guard the rebellious Zobiko, who refused to listen to the Doctor's orders.
Zobiko learns to talk through her interactions with Zobio, and the two soon fall in love with one another. Zobio breaks Zobiko out of jail and the two escape the Mansion. Dr. Curien, furious, sends Justice, The Star, The Empress and The World to assasinate both zombies for their insubordination.
However after a battle against Zobio and Zobiko, The Star ends up falling in love with Zobiko himself. The Star attempts to kidnap Zobiko, but Zobio protects her. Zobiko slaps The Star and he comes to accept that she and Zobio love one another.
In the final battle against The World, The Star aids Zobio and Zobiko by holding up the train, giving the zombie lovers a foothold on which to overcome The World.
Upon The World's defeat it is set to self destruct. The Star once again comes along to save the pair from the explosion. He returns to Dr. Curien reporting that the two undead lovebirds perished in the explosion, allowing Zobio and Zobiko to have their desired freedom. Dr. Curien mourns the loss of Zobiko, revealing her to be the spitting image of his deceased wife.
Zobio and Zobiko later get married, their wedding taking place in the race course "Graveyard Gig" in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Zobio is seen jumping on a bouncy castle in the first lap, and he and Zobiko are seen in their wedding attire on the final lap.
For their All-Star move, Zobio drinks a potion which grows him to a huge size. Zobiko rides atop him, as he runs on all fours smashing through other racers.
Zobio and Zobiko were included as racers in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing as their cartoonier looks fit better than most of The House of the Dead content would, and likely the two wouldn't raise the age rating like other iconic characters from the series would.[1]
