Red Light Raid[]
A new online mode that allows players to join with others to overcome swarms of enemies. Alongside Kiryu and Majima and their different fighting styles from the main story campaign, other characters from the story are playable.
Money can be earnt through the mode to unlock more characters in the mode and upgrade them starting from level 1 and upgrading to level 5 with each upgrade costing more and more money. Money is earnt from defeating opponents from the amount of stages cleared and a completion bonus for getting through the whole challenge before the timer runs out.
More time can be added by defeating enemies, and defeating enemies will naturally raise your Heat levels allowing for you to activate a super mode that bolsters more power than normal. Health and Heat power ups are dropped from defeating enemies.
Occasionally the player will be forced to deal with a boss enemy. They have large health bars and more moves than most of the grunts the player has faced. They are depicted with purple heat auras.
This mode can be played online, through wireless play with a friend or can be done offline.
