Vyse has brown hair and brown eyes. He wears an eyepatch over his right eye that allows him to magnify distant objects like a telescope. Beneath his left eye he has a distinct crescent shaped scar that he recieved protecting his childhood friend Aika when they were both only ten years old.
He wears a long sleeved blue jacket(although the sleeves are actually attached via red belts) with golden buckles and red belts decorating the sleeves over a black vest shirt. He wears large brown boots, a thick brown belt around his waist, a red scarf like ascot around his neck and dark leggings.
Vyse is often seen with his twin cutlasses, which he holds in a very unorthodox and unique manner that allows him to use one for defence and one for offence.
History[]
Vyse became a member of his father's air pirate ship from a young age. He would often take part in raids and perform menial tasks but suffered horribly from airsickness before eventually overcoming this weakness as he grew up.
At the age of ten during one botched rescue mission where he and Aika were mistaken for attacking the distressed ship, he was permenantly scarred across his cheek to save Aika from an attack meant to take her life. He and Aika later go on to form the Blue Rogues pirates, a group of air pirates who only attack armed ships larger than their own, and vow to never attack unarmed or merchant vessels.
Vyse's life is permenantly changed when he and Aika attempt to plunder a Valuan vessel and inadvertedly save a young Silvite woman named Fina from capture by the Valuan admiral Alfonso, kickstarting the storyline in Skies of Arcadia.
It is possible to remove Vyse's goggle in battle. When choosing a battle command, press Right, Right, Left, Left, Up, Down, Up, Down, Right, Left on the control stick. It only lasts a single battle and doesn't do anything outside the aesthetic.
Vyse's Valkyria Chronicles counterpart shares his English voice actor with Sonic the Hedgehog, Roger Craig Smith.
