Virtua Tennis 2 is a tennis game released in 2001 for the arcade and Dreamcast and 2002 for PlayStation 2.

Modes[]

  • Tournament: Players must win five matches on different surfaces to win a tournament
  • Exhibition: This is a single match with completely customisable rules allowing for multiplayer singles or doubles matches
  • World Tour: The Player competes to beat several different training exercises and matches. For the first time in the series, the World Tour mode features yearly based and calendarized seasons. Users have to play and win tournaments throughout the seasons, as well as to complete training exercises, in order to progress. Unlike any other game in the series, the World Tour mode on Virtua Tennis 2 requires the user to play and train both a male and a female players simultaneously, who can also team up to play in mixed doubles tournaments. They start as the 300th Seed with the difficulty slowly increasing as they jump up the ranks.
