Two Point Hospital is a 2018 Business Simulation game developed by Two Point Studios for Windows, Mac, Linux, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Gameplay[]
As a spiritual successor to Theme Hospital, the gameplay is unsurprisingly similar.
Players take on the role as the Hospital administrator, building new facilities and treatment rooms to help aid the ever growing population of patients suffering from wacky pun themed illnesses such as 'Grey Anatomy' which turns the patient pure shades of gray, 'Jest Infection' which transforms them into clowns, 'Animal Magnetism' which has tiny animals literally magnetised to the patient, 'Jazz Hands' which makes patients unable to stop shaking their hands and 'Turtle Head' which shrinks their heads and has them retreat into their bodies.
Players must manage their staff accordingly, keeping their happiness levels high, providing them with a comfortable staff room and entertainment on their breaks, adjusting their pay, training and promoting the staff, preventing them from running out of energy and tending to their basic needs as the doctors, nurses, janitors and assistants tend to the needs of the patients and hospital. If the staff's mood drops, they will threaten to quit. This can be prevented through a pay rise or adjusting their mood with what they need to remain happy and healthy.
Patients must be kept entertained, provided with food and drink and comfortable during their stay at the hospital. If they are left waiting for treatment for too long and without facilities to keep their spirits up they will "Rage Quit" and the reputation of the hospital will fall.
- Doctors are able to diagnose patients, perform psychiatry, operate certain machinery, perform research and operate GP offices.
- Nurses will run pharmacies, operate certain diagnosis machines and run wards.
- Assistants will run the reception, food courts, gift shops and newsagents.
- Janitors are in charge of fixing and upgrading machinery, putting out fires, watering plants, emptying bins, fixing toilets, cleaning up spillages and using a vacuum cleaner to suck up dead patients ghosts should they choose to haunt the hospital if they pass away there.
