Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble (スーパーモンキーボール バナナランブル?) is a Super Monkey Ball game for the Nintendo Switch released on June 25, 2024.

Plot[]

AiAi, MeeMee, Baby, GonGon, YanYan and Doctor are hanging out on the tropical resort, Juicy Island attending a festival about dedicated to the mysterious treasure, the Legendary Banana, a treasure said to have never been obtained but requires the Legendary OOParts to reveal it.

Whilst the others prepare for the festival, AiAi relaxes with a banana. He tells a fretting MeeMee that he'll join them once he's finished his snack, but it's swiped out of his hands by a new monkey, Palette, forcing AiAi to chase her. Whilst AiAi can't catch her, Palette hands him his banana back, and states she can also use the magic balls the others use, having been taught by her father. Palette reveals she's searching for her father who ghas been missing since she was a child. She believes he's chasing after the Legendary Banana and asks the the gangs help. AiAi and GonGon are unconvinced at first, but after promises of the Legendary Banana granting endless bananas, they immedietly agree to help, whilst an exasparated MeeMee is convinced by YanYan and Doctor that it could be fun. Palette then agrees to teach the group how to Spin Dash.

The group first hit up the festival itself taking place on the Banana Farm (World 1) and obtain their first OOPArt after completing it. The next location is the Rose Garden (World 2), which they set off for whilst a mysterious figure looks at the now empty pedestal the OOPArt was original sat on.

Upon arrival in the Rose Garden Palette spots a trap, and the Gala Family consisting of Fes, Tee and Val appear commenting on how they're impressed she managed to notice their trap. They introduce themselves as treasure hunters and announce their desire to compete for the remaining OOPArts before leaving. Despite complaints from Val wanting to steal the monkey's OOPArt now, Fes says they can steal from AiAi and friends whenever, and that they have to hurry to get the others before Master Easel does.

AiAi's gang grab the second OOPArt and make their way to the Floating City(World 3). Palette reflects on her missing father, and YanYan and AiAi comfort her, giving her words of encouragement. They soon obtain their third OOPArt. GonGon announces they found a map to a Golden Temple(World 4) and Palette with treasure on her mind takes off in pursuit.

Upon arriving at the Golden Temple, Palette tells GonGon about a curse that is said to occur if you become fixated on the OOPArts, freaking him out. GonGon then realises that despite this, Palette is not cursed. She handwaves this by stating she just wants to find the treasures to save her father (although she wouldn't mind stealing all the treasure lying around the temple). They soon obtain their next OOPArt, and Palette attempts to steal some gold, but is dragged away by GonGon as the gang is to set to head to the Desert in Stone Valley(World 5) for the next OOPArt. Meanwhile Fes mirrors Palette's sentiments but is dragged off by Val who wants the OOPArts first.

Arriving in Stone Valley, the gang are surrounded by Moai heads. Fortunately they turn out to be friendly, and the group find their next OOPArt. Palette reveals the next one is meant to be located at Neon Arena(World 6), a concert with incredible technology that peaks Doctor's interest.
