It was released on October 17th, 2020 and delisted October 19th, 2020, giving players a very short window in which to download these titles.

Story[]

Kamurocho, Tokyo.

The death of the Tojo Clan's third chairman has plunged the organization into chaos.

The violence spreads to the streets, and only Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima can put an end to the bloodshed!

Gameplay[]

Streets of Kamurocho is a Yakuza game homage to the original Mega Drive/Genesis Streets of Rage titles.

Players could play as Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima going through the streets of Kamurocho fighting Yakuza, punks and Chinese mafia members on their way to showdown against Akira Nishikiyama. The game is only one level, but will continuously loop getting progressively harder as it goes.

Like in the Streets of Rage games, characters could pick up weapons and health kits as items and the game could be played in two player co-op.

Trivia[]

  • This game is a reskinned Streets of Rage, with Yakuza characters taking over the roles and movesets of the Streets of Rage heroes and villains.

  • Akira Nishikiyama replaces Bourbon.
  • Ichiban Kasuga is an unlockable playable character by beating the game once. However, he, Kiryu and Majima all have the same moveset based off of Axel Stone.
  • The game was briefly brought back to Steam allowing players to obtain the game for a short 48 hour period between 14th December 2020 and 16th December 2020. The game became permenantly delisted after this date.
