Sonic Colors: Ultimate is a 2021 remaster of Sonic Colors releasing on September 7, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Epic Games on PC.
New Features[]
- New enhanced visuals and graphics (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be in 4K)
- New customization features: Player icons, changing the color of Sonic's boost effect, gloves and shoes.
- New Jade Wisp: Makes Sonic become intangible like a ghost allowing him to pass through solid objects.
- New Rival Rush mode: Take on Metal Sonic as you race to the end of the level. Beating him will unlock additional rewards.
- New Tails assist: Tails will now be summoned to recover Sonic after if the player should die/fall into a pit.
Release versions[]
The physical release comes with a Sonic the Hedgehog inspired keyring of baby Sonic.
The digital release comes in two options:
The Standard Digital release which comes with the game, a player icon pack and a 'Movie FX Cosmetic' that gives Sonic an electric lightning effect.
The Digital Deluxe version comes with all of the Standard Digital releases features and also early access, an 'ultimate music pack', a 'Metallic Pack' giving Sonic gold and silver shoes and gloves as customizable options and Movie Player Icons, giving players Sonic icons from the 2020 live action film.
