Shion is the protagonist of Wonder Boy in Monster Land and a reoccurring heroic character in the Wonder Boy series.

History[]
Shion was a resident of Monster World, a once peaceful region. However, the peaceful lands were invaded by an ever increasing army of monsters. With the citizens living every day in fear and praying for a hero to save them, Shion took up arms and vowed to make his home peaceful once more by defeating the army, heading across the sea to Alsedo, the fairy village.
Upon reaching Alsedo, he see's it is taken over by mushroom monsters. He meets with the fairy queen, Queen Eleanora who gives him Priscilla, a fairy ally as a helper to aid him in his quest.
Powers and abilities[]
Shion is a skilled swordsman and spearman, able to wield both weapons with proficiency, with the trade off being able to equip a shield with a sword, but having far longer reach with a spear. He can also equip armour and boots with a variety of different uses.
Shion is also able to utilise magic, having access to a variety of magical abilities that he can purchase from shops:
- Fire Storm: A powerful fire magic spell that shoots out several blasts of homing fireball
- Shield: A defensive spell that prevents Shion from taking damage
- Return: A spell that allows Shion to escape dungeons
- Thunder: A powerful lightning spell
- Power: A spell that bolsters Shion's strength

- Shion appears in Sonic the Comic #2 in his own story, set after the events of Wonder Boy in Monster World.
