The Sega Toylet is a urinal based games machine that consists of a LCD screen, a motion sensor and a urinal. It launched in 2011 at selected metro stations in Tokyo.
Concept[]
Players who wish to relieve themselves will stand in front of the Toylet and urinate into the basin, aiming for the target. This acts as a calibration point for the sensor on top of the basin which will then measure the strength of a player's 'stream' as well as their position and general movement.
Games[]
The Sega Toylet has a total of eight games made for it:
- Bukkake Battle! Hana Kara Gyuunyuu: a game where the player is pitted against the previous user of the Toylet, measuring the strength of their urination strength. Urine in this game is represented by milk being snorted from two delinquent's noses, with the stronger stream knocking the opponent out of a sumo ring.
- Bukkake Battle! Hana Kara Gyuunyuu: Banchou Battle: An expanded version of the above game with new deliquents and some slight altered features. This and the above are the only two competitive Toylet titles, with players competeing for high scores.
- Dokitsu! Boufuu Keihou Hatsurei: In this game, the player plays as an animated gust of wind with the goal being to try and blow a woman's skirt up to reveal her underwear.
- Grafitti Eraser: This game unlike the previous ones is all about aiming, with the goal to erase all the grafitti with their streams. This is considered the most interactive title of the Toylet games.
- Panel Quiz Chou Nyo-ryoku: A game show style game where players must flip a random selection of six different cards by the strength of their urination. Each flip is placed on a rising bar similar to a regular strength tester, but with vaguely tarot card like interactions.
- Nyounai Checker: A fortune telling style game with the premise the player is at a urologist and having their urine checked for their "true intentions" by urinating into a penis shaped vial.
- Tamero! Shoubengozou: A game which measures the amount a player can urinate. In this title the player takes on the role of the Toylet's mascot. As time goes on, sunsets and various Japanese motifs will appear in the background.
- Tamero! Shoubengozou Deluxe: A deluxe version of the above game.
Trivia[]
- The Toylet's mascot is a caricature of Manneken Pis, a famous Brussels fountain piece.
- The Toylet makes an appearance in Yakuza Kiwami 2. Kiryu is able to play two of the Toylet titles; Bukkake Battle! Hana Kara Gyuunyuu and Dokitsu! Boufuu Keihou Hatsurei. Majima is also seen using a Toylet.
- One of the additional selling points for the Toylet was the target sticker in the middle forced men to be more accurate with their urination streams meaning far less spilled urine on bathroom floors and less cleaning required. However, Grafitti Eraser with it's need to move the players stream around undermined this point, making it often the filthiest Toylet game in the bathroom.
- The Toylet was demonstrated at trade shows with a little Manneken Pis style statue who would 'urinate' into the Toylet to show how it would work.
