Sega Superstars is the first game made for the Sega Superstars (series). It is a collection of mini-games featuring Sega characters. It was released for the EyeToy. Like other EyeToy games, players would use their bodies to play the game.

Mini Games

There are twelve different mini-games, each based on a different Sega franchise:

• Sonic the Hedgehog: The player plays as either Sonic or Shadow running through a Sonic the Hedgehog 2 style Special Stage as they evade spiked balls and collect the Chaos Emeralds, getting faster and faster as they collect Emeralds and rings. Upon collecting them all they'll go Super Sonic/Shadow and become invincible briefly.
• Space Channel 5: The player plays as Ulala as she must mimic the dance moves of the Morolians with precise timing and positioning. Making a mistake will cost a heart.
• Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg: Players must use their hands to push the giant egg either left or right to cause Billy to travel that way. Tapping both at the same time will allow him to roll forward. The goal is to run over all the enemies to open the final goal.
• Samba de Amigo: Players must tap the rings to the beat as Amigo dances on screen.
• ChuChu Rocket!: Players must use their arms to activate bridge buttons to help the ChuChus get to the rocket and trap the Kapu-Kapu.
• Puyo Pop Fever: The player must control their arms to guide a heap of yellow, green, red and blue puyos into their goals using them as slopes for the Puyos to roll down.
• Super Monkey Ball: The player controls AiAi through a maze, collecting bananas as they make their way to the goal.
• Crazy Taxi: The player must frantically wave their arms to gain the attention of Axel and Slash to come pick them up in their taxis.
• Virtua Fighter: Players will stand on the left side of the screen as they punch, and guard as they attempt to fight against the cast of Virtua Fighter including Jacky Bryant, Akira Yuki, Kage-Maru and Sarah Bryant.
• Virtua Striker: Players must head the soccer ball into balloons to pop them.
• NiGHTS into Dreams: Players must use their arm placements to control NiGHTS and fly them through a collection of rings to the end goal.
• The House of the Dead: Zombies and creatures appear. Players must attack them to clear the screen. After a while a boss monster will appear. Players must wait for the weak point reticle to appear to take the boss down.

Trivia

• This is the only game in the Superstars series to include Virtua Striker.
• Despite Crazy Taxi's inclusion, the characters involved are Axel and Slash rather than B.D. Joe who would appear later in both Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
