Rusty Rose is a major character from Sonic Prime. She originates from the New Yoke City dimension and is one of Amy Rose's counterparts.
History[]
Rusty is first seen watching Sonic's arrival in New Yoke City. Working for the Chaos Council, she informs Mr. Dr. Eggman of the hedgehog's arrival. After Sonic is captured she proceeds to run tests on him to see what he is capable of before being ordered to execute him at the Chaos Council's behest.
During a raid from Rebel Rouge and Renegade Knucks, Rusty engages them in combat before turning to finish Sonic off. Tails Nine manages to hack her systems in the nick of time to save Sonic, and turns her against the Chaos Council, before using her to get to the power core.
After Sonic disappears into Shatterspace, Nine makes off with a shard of his own, leaving Rusty, Rebel and Renegade to the Chaos Council. Rusty is reprogrammed and turned back to the side of the Chaos Council.
She witnesses Sonic's next return to New Yoke's dimension and both records and reports him meeting up with Rebel and Renegade to the Chaos Council.
She is later part of the invading forces into No Place, where she proceeds to engage in battle with the pirates of Knuckles the Dread's ship until she catches sight of Black Rose, her No Place counterpart, and hesitates to continue her attack. She appears to glitch, and chooses to head towards the Devil's Lighthouse for another shard instead of finishing her opponents off.
She is taken out by Sails Tails, Tails' No Place counterpart and captured by Knuckles the Dread's crew and tied to the ship's mast. When the Chaos Council arrive, Rusty is hopeful she will be rescued, but the Council abandon her and instead damage the ship she's on. Realising she's been betrayed, Rusty pledges her aide to Knuckles the Dread's crew if they untie her, and after she is let down by Black Rose, she helps get the ship back in order, even shooting down the egg enforcers in a friendly, but fierce rivalry with Black Rose, forming a strong bond over their love of destroying egg enforcers.
