Ristar is a young shooting star from the game, Ristar. He is the son of a legendary hero who protects a far-off galaxy known as The Valdi System. When his father is imprisoned by Kaiser Greedy, however, it's up to Ristar to save the galaxy and defeat the evil alien forces who have enslaved each planet's populace.
When Sonic The Hedgehog was being made, one of the pitches made before the hedgehog was a blue rabbit who could throw objects with his ears. The idea was later put into Ristar, who could use his elastic arms to throw enemies. Throughout the concept of the game, Ristar went through many changes. For instance, his original name was Feel, and didn't particularly resemble a star.
Physical Appearance[]
Ristar has a star-shaped body with a black sphere supporting it. He also has black arms and legs with gloves and sneakers. On his sneakers, there are images which appear to resemble lightning bolts.
Abilities[]
Unlike Sonic, Ristar is not fast on foot and can't jump very high. His power, however, lies in his incredible reach. He can stretch his arms to reach out to enemies and then headbutt right into them. Also, if Ristar grabs onto a Star Handle, with a swift spin, he can shoot his body into the air and dart across the skies of the planets.
Personality[]
Considering how he's quite young, Ristar is often quite curious and playful. Depending on what planet Ristar is on in the game, he'll interact with his environment. For instance, On Planet Scorch, he'll sit down and fan himself as he were hot. He also occasionally reacts to his actions, such as when he appears shocked in Planet Flora when knocking over a tree.
