Reni Milchstraße (レニ・ミルヒシュトラーセ Reni Miruhishutorāse?) is a character of Sakura Wars series. She is a member of the first generation Imperial Combat Revue's Flower Division, and was a member of the European Combat Revue Star Division.

Appearance[]

Reni is a androgynous young girl with shorter silver hair and fair complexion. She wears traditonally-masculine attire such as suits and dress pants and during the events of Sakura Wars 2, she wears buttoned t-shirts and shorts. Ren didn't have a normal childhood and only relied on many militaristic terms, such as focusing on combat and bringing her best to victory. Thus, she was largely cold and distanct when she joined the Imperial Combat Revue in 1925.

History[]

As a young child in Germany, Reni was a "wunderkind" (German for "miracle child"), and was part of a program tiled "Wachstum" that engineered people with high-spiritual power to train to become child soldiers and was the sole survivor of the "Wachstum" project. Reni, alongside Orihime Soletta, Ratchet Altair and Subaru Kujō were part of the European Combat Revue Star Division, but their power was so strong, it destroyed an entire village. As a result, the Star Division dissolved with its existence being erased from history.

Sometime after Ichiro Ogami's recruitment back into the Imperial Combat Revue in 1925, Orihime was already transferred and recruited. But when Iris started sliding down the stair rails, she first discovers Reni as she miraculously saves Iris' stuffed teddy bear, Jean-Paul from falling down. During her first meeting with the division and her reunion with Orihime, Reni was male at first, with Sakura commenting it was unusual for a man to join the Flower Division, as the Flower Division mainly relies on women to power their Kobu. When the Flower Division take a summer vacation with the Rose Division guarding the theater while they're away, Ogami heads outside to the hot springs during the night and discovers that, Reni was female all along. Like Orihime, Reni pilots her Eisenkleid armed with a joust (that also doubles as a driller) as she dosen't carry anything on foot during combat.

If Ogami chooses Reni as his star in the Christmas show during chapter 9, she gets her own ending scene in which Reni and Ogami visit the festival from earlier in Sakura Wars 2 Reni uses a racket to fish a lot of fishes later carrying them home just before Ogami grabs her hand.

In 1926, Ogami arrives in Paris to lead the Paris Combat Revue. During his trip, Orihime and Reni pay a visit to check on him. However, they were later responsible for spying about the Kaijin leading to both of them helding hostage due to Reni's recklessness, until they were miraculously saved by Yuichi Kayama. Sometime during the holiday season, after Ogami was transferred to Paris, Ratchet arrives to lead the Flower Division before heading to New York, thus reuniting her with Reni and Orihime as Ratchet led the Flower Division to stop the American company Douglas-Stewart and its head, Brent Furlong from erasing the Revue's existence. Ratchet's Eisenkleid was suddenly powered down by Brent during the final battle, leading to Ogami returning from Paris in his Kobu F2 to save the day.

In 1927, Ogami reunited with his team in Paris, as both troupes banded together to stop the ghost of Nagayasu Okubo for once and for all. Prior to that, Reni apologizes to Ogami for what happened in Paris which led to her being held hostage, begging for his forgiveness.
