Megami Tensei, formerly marketed internationally as Relevations, is a Japanese video game franchise created by Atlus and now owned by SEGA. The series usually involves darker themes than in your typical JRPG, and although each story is largely stand alone, there some reoccurring elements include the ability to recruit the various demons to your party through bargaining with them with religion, philosphy and life, death and rebirth.
