Max Thunder is a hulking muscular man with a scar over his right eye. His hair is short and black, and he is often seen wearing his wrestling pants with stars on them.
In Streets of Rage 4, some of Max's hair has started to gray, and his body is covered in even more scars than the last time he was seen. During Ms Y's mind control he also sports glowing red eyes.
History[]
Streets of Rage 2[]
Max Thunder was a professional wrestler, and incredibly successful. However he was kicked out after refusing to throw a fight against a certain opponent. Having lost his calling in life, Max agreed to help his old friend Axel Stone rescue his former co-worker, Adam Hunter from the Syndicate. Eventually Max faces off against Mr. X, helps defeat him and Adam is rescued.
Streets of Rage 3[]
Whilst Max is not a playable character in Streets of Rage 3, he does appear at the end of the game alongside Adam and the playable cast(Axel Stone, Blaze Fielding, Eddie "Skate" Hunter and Dr. Gilbert Zan) watching the sunrise, having thwarted the plot of Mr. X and prevented the city from being blown up.
Streets of Rage 4[]
Max returns in Streets of Rage 4, this time as a boss. He has become mind controlled by Ms. Y, Mr. X's daughter and forced to fight against his former friends. He is unflinching and can only be knocked over by Star Supers. Once defeated Max returns to his senses and tells his friends he never intended to hurt them.
Max later returns as a playable character via the Mr. X's Nightmare DLC campaign.
Trivia[]
