Joypolis

Joypolis is an indoor amusement park owned by Sega. It is located inside the DECKS Tokyo Beach mall in Tokyo, Japan.

History[]

Tokyo Joypolis was opened in July 12, 1996. In January 10, 2012, due to the park's second major renewal, operations were suspended. During the refurbishment period, from January 21 to May 15, "Joypolis Nano" was opened, moving some attractions and game corners to the Island Mall on the third floor of Decks Tokyo Beach. In July 14, 2012, Joypolis was reopened. The park was renewed, bringing in a new concept: "DigitaReal", which means "combining the digital world and the real world".

Rides and Attractions[]

  • Halfpipe Tokyo
  • Gekion Live Coaster
  • VR
  • Zero Latency VR
  • TOWER TAG
  • Live Shows
  • DigitaReal Live Stage

First appearing in July 14, 2012, as part of the renewal of the park, this stage, like its name implies, combines digital elements and real life. This stage is primarily used for stage shows, the most famous being the ones starring LOPIT, the park's very own original character.
