Janken is always depicted as a towering individual who is many times larger than the people of Planet Aries and even his own minions.
In the original official Japanese artwork, Janken is depicted as being towering but muscularly built with peach skin.
Later artwork depicts him as a stouter individual with orange skin.
Miracle World DX depicts him as a huge obese individual with peach skin, large enough to hold Princess Lora in a single hand, although his in game sprite is only just over twice the size of Alex and Lora.
All of these depictions however have him wearing a very similar outfit with the letter J signed on his front, a single horned helmet and an eyemask that his glowing pupil-less eyes appear from behind.
History[]
Janken arrived on Planet Aries alongside his henchmen Gooseka, Chokkina and Paraplin sometime after the events of Pit Pot, and just as Alex Kidd was finishing his Shellcore training on Mount Eternal.
He quickly set fire to towns, petrified the populace of Radaxian, imprisoned Prince Egle, held Princess Lora captive as well being thought to be the kidnapped of King Thunder and Queen Patricia.
However Janken's henchmen were soon taken down by Alex Kidd in games of life or death Rock-Paper-Scissors matches, despite them being experts at it.
Eventually Janken is cornered in his own castle by Alex Kidd, but confident in his abilities having never lost a game of "janken" in his life, Janken challenges Alex but ultimately loses. He attempts to petrify Alex Kidd, but Alex overcomes his attack and Janken himself soon ends up on the recieving end of his own attack, turning to stone upon his defeat.
Alex Kidd continues to Cragg Lake to obtain the Gold Crown that will reverse Janken's curse, but it is unknown if Janken himself was freed from his own curse when Alex reversed the spell.
In Miracle World DX, Janken refers to Alex as but a stone on his road to victory, and seems to find it inconcievable that Alex managed to defeat his three commanders, especially Parpalin. His boss battle consists of him throwing out his magic blasts at Alex, but also dropping spiked ceiling chandeliers by beating his chest like a gorilla. After he takes enough damage he turns red with anger.
Trivia[]
Upon defeat in Miracle World, Janken will be turned to stone by his own magic. In Miracle World DX however he remains unpetrified.
Mysteriously, upon defeating Janken Princess Lora's petrification will be reversed, but the rest of Radaxian won't be until the Golden Crown is collected.
Janken is revealed to have a very short temper in Miracle World DX, as if Alex manages to land a strike on him or beat him in Rock Paper Scissors he turns red with anger.
Miracle World DX also reveals that Janken's army consists of many individuals who look like his three commanders. Rock-Heads throw rocks with incredibly accuracy, Paper-Heads are cannoneers who fire barrages of exploding cannonballs, and Scissor-heads are foot soldiers who carry spears around with the scissors head shape for the spear.
