Honey/Candy is a fictional character from the video game series Fighting Vipers. She was renamed "Candy" in the North American and PAL localization of Fighting Vipers. She also reappears as a playable character in Fighting Vipers 2, where her name was changed back to Honey for the PAL release.
Honey/Candy is a girl who dreams of becoming an apparel designer. Learning of the Viper Tournaments, she dons her own self made rubber armor, and enters, heartily feeling it would be a great idea to use the tournament to show off her latest works and styles.
Fighting Vipers 2[]
Even if B.M. would order a crackdown on Vipers, that would not stop her dreams either! Honey/Candy feels that even the Viper Hunts would be as great as an opportunity as the last tournament held two years ago to show her styles.
Sonic the Fighters[]
Honey the Cat was an unused character whose design and name are heavily based on Honey as she appears in Fighting Vipers. Her data was leftover in Sonic the Fighters, originally found via hacking. She was later added back into the game officially as part of the 2012 HD re-releases of the game.
International Release Reference[]
In all versions of Fighting Vipers, her home stage Bayside contains graffiti that reads, "In Memory of Honey you will always be rememberd by your family and friends R.I.P", which would indicate that Honey is dead, however it may be in reference to the International releases of the game changing her name from Honey to Candy, causing the "death" of the Honey name. Despite this she would continue to be known as Honey in every appearance in Japan. Her original name would also eventually be restored in the PAL release of Fighting Vipers 2.
