Hero Bank is a multimedia franchise focused around a world where the main source of entertainment is people participating in hero battles using the currency of Bankfon Gs to rent powerful hero suits. The public can watch these fights and throw money in to help boost and power up the fighter of their choice. Young hot blooded protagonist Kaito Gōshō finds himself in a hero battle for his friend, Nagare Amano, but without a suit he is certain to fail and be unable to save his friend. In desperation he ends up renting an incredibly powerful hero suit known as Enter the Gold, from a shady looking priest, agreeing to the contract without checking the terms and conditions.

Kaito saves his friend, but in doing so finds he is now in debt of ¥10,000,000,000. In order to make back the debt he now owes, Kaito is forced into more and more intense hero battles.
