Game Gear Micro (ゲームギアミクロ?) is a miniature version of the Game Gear.

It was released October 6, 2020 exclusively in Japan as part of SEGA's Go Sega 60th Anniversary celebration. An add on called SEGA Big Window was also released, a viewfinder that increased the size of the display when looked through. They are charged via a micro-USB.

It is the second mini console to be released by SEGA following the Mega Drive Mini.

Trivia[]

  • These consoles are the smallest SEGA has ever made at 8cm x 4.3cm with a 2.9cm sized screen, living up to their 'Micro' moniker.
  • There are six different screens depicting when the console has a low battery. They include Alex Kidd & Stella, Opa-Opa, Princess Kurumi, Gilius Thunderhead, Harrier and Flicky.
  • The Game Gear Micro isn't actually the first remake of the Game Gear. In 2006 three companies remade a small Game Gear with their own branding on it.
