Dr, Bad-Boon is a baboon wearing a monocle, lab coat and a black cloak, pointed shoes (with wheels in the heels) and fingerless gloves.
Unlike the other Super Monkey Ball characters his art style gives him much longer limbs and proportions, very different eyes, a longer snout and small ears. He does however retain the same ear swirls as the other characters in the series.
History[]
Dr. Bad-Boon is obsessed with marrying MeeMee and will do anything to win her heart. As a result he absolutely despises AiAi who is MeeMee's childhood sweetheart, and eventual husband and Baby, her child from the future with AiAi.
Dr. Bad-Boon first appears sucking up all the bananas in Jungle Village into his blimp, attempting to hold the island to ransom, stating he'll give the bananas back if MeeMee marries him.
MeeMee refuses, and so he decides to sink the entire island by planting a time bomb in the volcano to get her attention.
Fortunately for the island, GonGon bodychecks the time bomb, launching it out of the volcano and into Dr. Bad-Boon's blimp, causing himself and his henchman to spin out of control and into the ocean below.
AiAi leads the others to find him as they have not got back the villages banana supply, with Dr. Bad-Boon diving and hiding under water. After spending hours down below the waves hiding in a sunken pirate ship he thinks they must have gotten bored and left, but as he attempts to swim away he is spotted. Reaching the surface of the ocean, he is out of options. Exhausted, surrounded and out of enough fuel to get him back to shore he ponders what to do. As AiAi, MeeMee, Baby and GonGon tell him he should give up he points behind them telling AiAi to watch out. AiAi mocks him telling him he won't fall for such an obvious trick. Dr. Bad-Boon looks terrified however as a giant sperm whale appears behind the group, swallowing all of them whole.
Trapped in the whale with his enemies, Dr. Bad-Boon laments it might not be so bad since he's trapped with his "Sweet MeeMee" and offers to give her a massage, moving creepily towards her. MeeMee is repulsed and AiAi gets in the way threatening Dr. Bad-Boon if he takes another step towards her.
After AiAi and GonGon pummel the side of the whale, they are all spat out. Dr. Bad-Boon escapes, before AiAi and the others give chase.
Trivia[]
All of Dr. Bad-Boon's spoken dialogue is reversed. Playing it backwards allows players to hear him in English.
According to Super Monkey Ball Adventure, Dr. Bad-Boon created a time travel machine specifically to prevent AiAi and MeeMee from ever falling in love.
Dr. Bad-Boon's henchman has no voice nor name, officially being referred to as 'Henchman' in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania's art book.
Dr. Bad-Boon makes his first playable appearance in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble. He is unlocked by joining an online match.
