Captain America: Super Solider was a 2011 game developed by Marvel and Sega.

Plot[]

The story of the game takes place during the events of Captain America: The first Avenger, delving in to Captain America's adventures against the Red Skull and HYDRA all over Europe that were touched upon in the film.

Captain America has to fight many henchmen such as the infamous Iron Cross, the forces of HYDRA, and Red Skull as he infiltrates HYDRA's castle.

Gameplay[]

Captain America: Super Soldier is an action-adventure game with a third person camera view, in which the camera can be rotated around Cap.

Captain America can punch, kick, perform take down moves, block attacks with his shield, perform devastating blows known as 'Crippling Strikes' and throw his shield as an accurate projectile from a distance to take down the various members of Hydra that plan to stop him from completing his mission. Captain America can sense the layout of his foes through his honed combat senses, and is capable of performing parkour in order to sneak into facilities.

As well as the beat 'em up style action battles, there's missions that will require Captain America decoding passwords, sabotaging machinery, pulling levers, firing mounted guns and activating machinery.

There is also an upgrade system allowing Captain America to boost his stats via Intel Points which can be obtained by beating enemy troops or retrieving items on the battlefield.
