Not to be confused with Blaze the Cat from Sonic the Hedgehog series or Blaze from Endless Dungeon.

Blaze Fielding is one of the main protagonists from the Streets of Rage series. Alongside Axel Stone she has been playable in every single game.

Appearance[]

Blaze Fielding is a brown haired, brown eyed (apart from two instances where she is blue eyed) caucasian woman with an hourglass figure and athletic build. She has a distinct beauty mark on the left side of her face just below her lips. She is always seen wearing red makeup and thick mascara.

She is usually depicted wearing a red mini skirt done up with a black belt, black fingerless gloves and red boots.

In Streets of Rage, Blaze wears a red head band around her forehead keeping her hair out of her eyes, a red high collared jacket with sleeves that cover her upper arms and a pair of dangly red earrings.

In Streets of Rage 2, Blaze loses the jacket wearing instead just a red top that covers only her chest and exposes her midriff and shoulders. She wears tights under her miniskirt in this game, and loses the black fingerless gloves wearing golden bracers instead.

In Streets of Rage 3, Blaze's top changes once again to what appears to be a red bra like top. She regains her black fingerless gloves and wears tiny pearl like earrings. She continues to wear the tights.

In Streets of Rage 4, Blaze now wears her belt looser around her waist and wears a black zip up jacket which she leaves open exposing a red bra like top underneath. Her earrings this time round are large golden ring like hoops. She loses the tights.

History[]

Streets of Rage[]

Blaze joined the Wood Oak City Police force prior to the events of Streets of Rage. Over time the Syndicate managed to successfully take over the city with the police on their payroll allowing crime to run rampant.

He and his partners Axel Stone and Adam Hunter decided to hand in their badges in order to clear up the city streets as vigilantes, and put a stop to Mr. X and his lieutenants.

After visiting every area of the city and even managing to defeat Mr. X himself, they successfully seemed to liberate Wood Oak City of the Syndicate and believed peace was restored. Blaze proceeds to move out of the city and follow her passion of becoming a dance instructor.

Streets of Rage 2[]

On the one year anniversary of Mr. X's defeat, Blaze was supposed to reunite with Axel and Adam to celebrate their successes and reminesce about old times, when she recieved a phone call from Adam's younger brother Eddie "Skate" Hunter who reveals that the home he and Adam live at had been ransacked and Adam was missing.

Blaze and Axel both come to investigate their missing friend, and discover a photo of Adam bound by chains with Mr. X standing over him. Axel calls in a favour from his professional wrestler friend Max Thunder to aid him, Blaze and Skate in taking down Mr. X and his new order syndicate and rescuing Adam.

After a hard fought battle Blaze, Axel, Skate and Max manage to defeat Mr. X once more and rescue Adam.

Streets of Rage 3[]

After this the story differs depending on the version of Streets of Rage 3.

Japan[]

Blaze decides to rejoin the police force alongside Adam and Blaze in the Japanese version.

A terrifying experimental weapon goes off which kills thousands of innocent civilians, and injures even more. Axel and Blaze are assigned to investigate and bring the people behind this attack to justice.

At the same time Axel himself is framed for the kidnapping of General Ivan Petrov, a representative of the Lima region who had been invited to the White House for peace talks.

Whilst trying to work out what happened and how to prove Axel's innocence, Blaze and Axel are contacted by the man who claims to be behind the creation of the weapon that killed thousands of civilians, Dr. Zan. He informs them that his research is being used by powers who plan to use Wood Oak City as a testing ground for it's terrifying destructive purposes.

Western[]

Blaze remains in the city, but sets herself up as a private investigator. Dr. Zan, who due to his own criminal associations cannot go to the police, informs Blaze that her old friend, the Chief of Police is the next target of Mr. X's bombings.

She contacts Axel and Adam to help in following this lead and although Adam is busy with his own obligations he sends Skate in his place. Blaze sets up a task force of herself, Axel, Skate and Dr. Zan to take down Mr. X once and for all.

Both[]

During their investigation Blaze and the others eventually comes across Break, a robotic replica of Axel, that was used to frame him in the kidnapping. Axel and the others defeat Break, and proceed to fight against Mr. X's own robotic replica, Robo-X, Mr. X's right hand man Shiva and the mad scientist Dr. Dahm before coming face to face with Mr. X for a third time.

Having barely survived the past two encounters, Mr. X is merely a brain in a jar at this point and fights against Blaze and the others using a robotic mech known as Neo. X. Blaze manages to defeat Neo X within three minutes whilst Adam defuses the bombs and the heroes go their seperate ways knowing after this third and final defeat Mr. X can no longer terrorize the city.

Streets of Rage 4[]

Ten years pass, and Blaze once again loses her job in the police force after getting into a heated debate about her taking anger managment class, which ended with her punching the Comissioner in the face. She returns to her job as a Dance Instructor but makes sure to keep abreast of any rumors about the Syndicate... and it's not long until she hears about one. She immedietly calls Axel and Adam and fills them in.

Mr. X's offspring are now following in his footsteps and it's up to Blaze, Axel, Adam, Adam's daughter Cherry Hunter and Dr. Zan's apprentice Floyd Iraia to put a stop to the revival of the Syndicate.
