Bantam is the largest of the four heroes, and is somewhat egg shaped himself. He has large hands, brown hair and eyes and a wide smile. His nose is upturned, and his hair juts upwards. His Legendary Chicken Suit has the colour scheme of that of a rooster, being orange and green with a large crest.
History[]
Bantam Scrambled was waiting with his friends Rolly Roll and Chick Poacher for Billy Hatcher to show up to their bird watching group. Bantam checks his egg shaped pocket watch, confirming Billy is late yet again. When Billy turns up late, he along with the others begin to walk towards Billy, making him panic. However before they can tease him about being late some more, an injured Morning Land Chick appears. Billy defends it from a crow using a branch. The chick then begins to glow and transports all four to Morning Land.
Chick is next seen wearing his legendary chicken suit, but tied up in rope and stuck next to a bomb in Blizzard Castle having been defeated by the Crows he was sent to combat. Luckily Billy arrives in time to save him, rolling the bomb away and freeing Bantam from his restraints.
Upon doing this, Bantam's missions are unlocked, allowing him to play one mission per world collecting crests or fighting off crows whilst Billy is preoccupied with trying to save the Chicken Elders.
Trivia[]
Each of the four main characters in Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg are associated with the four main protagonists of Sonic the Hedgehog series. In Bantam's case, he is the Morning Land equivalent of Knuckles the Echidna, both being physically strong characters.
Despite Billy Hatcher not appearing in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Bantam Scrambled alongside Rolly Roll and Chick Poacher appear as cameos in the Blizzard Castle track, implying Billy was likely planned to be a racer but scrapped.
Bantam appears alongside his friends in the Archie Sega x Capcom crossover comic, World's Unite.
Bantam's name is an egg based pun, just like his friends. In his case his name refers to both Bantam Chickens (ironically a small breed of chicken) and Scrambled eggs.
Bantam has an egg shaped stop watch.
Despite Bantam's rougher appearance, it's actually Chick Poacher who is the more bullheaded member of the four. Bantam himself loves cute things most of all, but has a strong sense of justice.
