Genghis Bahn III (三代目チンギス・バーン Sandaime Chingisu Bān?), or Bahn (バン Ban?) for is a main protagonist of the Fighting Vipers video game series.

History[]

Fighting Vipers[]

Hailing from his hometown of Nishino Town (西野町 Nishino Machi?), Japan, Bahn, aka Genghis Bahn III, is a foreign exchange student and former gang leader who has traveled to Armstone City to find and confront his father, who abandoned him and his mother when he was just a baby. But will the search end here?

Fighting Vipers 2[]

Two years since the events of the first Fighting Vipers, Bahn has returned to the streets of Armstone again. But as he learns of the Viper Hunts, his priorities oblige him to stop the tyrannical mayor B.M.'s reign over the city.

Project X Zone[]

Bahn is a playable solo character in the crossover Project X Zone. He is voiced by Hiroki Takahashi, who is also the current voice of Ryu from Capcom's Street Fighter.

Gameplay[]

Bahn's fighting style is a personal integrated style rooted in a mix of his training in karate and street fighting, including baji quan, and he specializes in a variety of punching attacks. shoulders and elbows. In game, Bahn is a hard hitting character who specializes in sudden power attacks, in where his attacks wind up for a frame or two before striking hard on the opponent. While these attacks deal great damage on both the health and armor of the opponent and can cause stagger on blocking opponents, reliance on these attacks can leave him predictable to opposition. Bahn also does not have long combo string attacks, and his attacks demand good openings, reading the opponent's actions, and even being able to have good followups for any opportunity for big damage to be effective. In the right hands and with training, Bahn can condition the opponent with his hard blows before striking with his lesser known attacks, while intercepting his opponent's every move and knowing to go in for a punishing opening.

  • Bahn's name is derived from the word "banchou" (番長).
  • Bahn and Jotaro Kujo share the same source of inspiration from stereotypical banchous.
  • Due to B.M. sharing the mirror opposite of his Great Cannon Super K.O. move, it may be guessed that either B.M. is his father, or his father taught B.M. his martial arts.
