Axel is a one of taxi drivers from Crazy Taxi series. He is the character on the American box art for Crazy Taxi.
History[]
Axel had always wanted to be a cabbie ever since he was ten years old and considers it the coolest profession around.
He enjoys entertaining his customers while getting big tips in the process, and after work Axel likes nothing more than to play bass and vocals in punk bands and pick up women...unfortunately due to his volatile temper, bands often kick him out and women dump him.
Despite his fiery personality, Axel is a very personable guy who has many friends...he just needs to stop picking fights. He's also big on board sports and whenever he's not driving he can be found skating or surfing.

In Sega Heroes Axel is a green epic barrage hero that can be playable after 50/10 shards and was added in January 2019. He can be playable in Campaign, Events, Survival and Arena.
- His Max Skill is Here We Go ! Which requires 9 mana and deals physical damage/bonus damage to each enemy. Also gains 2 coins from each enemy as well.
- His Star Skill is Here's Your Stop ! which you have to match a green star tile or a super green star tile and deals physical damage. Then the other allies gain 2 mana.
- His Passive Skill is Hot-Tempered where Axel's matches/skills deal bonus damage to enemies that are above 50% health.

Trivia[]
- Axel has the most well rounded taxi of the original foursome with no major flaws in any area.
- Axel is the only cabbie to consistantly appear on box art for the franchise making him a face of the franchise (although B.D. Joe tends to be chosen for crossover titles like Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing).
- Axel appears in Sega Superstars in the Crazy Taxi minigame where players must wave their arms to get picked up by him or Slash.
- A remote control car version of Axel and his taxi was made by DSI Toys
- Axel can give characters a ride in Sonic Riders, where he leads them down a hidden shortcut.
