7th Dragon III: Code VFD (セブンスドラゴンIII code:VFD Sebensu Doragon suri codo buiefudi) is a RPG game of the 7th Dragon series and a sequel to 7th Dragon 2020-II created by Imageepoch and created by Sega, and released in October 15, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.

Plot[]
The year is 2100, and the battle of the dragons has come to an end in Tokyo. It has been 80 years since the war that ravaged the lands, with a company called Nodens transforming the tragedy into a virtual reality game known as '7th Encount'. The protagonist arrives to play the game at the same time Mio, a young girl suffering from an incurable disease arrives. Since she is too nervous to go in on her own, and the protagonist doesn't have a ticket, Mio offers to get them both in where upon they form a team alongside two other party members that the player can create.
After completing the game and gaining the high score, it is revealed to them that this is in fact a cover and used to find the best dragon slaying teams in the land in case another dragon attack should happen.
