2 Spicy (sometimes written as Too Spicy) is a head to head shoot out arcade game developed by Sega AM1 and released in 2007.
Plot[]
"Early in the 21st century, August, the death of one man sent tremors through the entire underworld. The Boss left everything in the hands of a man in black, a.k.a. Shadow. A worldwide battle for his inheritance has begun!"
With the death of The Boss, one of the criminal underworld's most prominent kingpins, throughout the world, a global crime war has begun in attempts to seize his enormous inheritance. At the crux of this affair, six of the toughest and wildest criminal outlaw gunfighters are at the lead to find Shadow, the man left in charge of The Boss's legacy, and seek to claim it for their own desires. However, the truth of what brings them all together is out of this world and beyond anyone could believe. With all leads at their advantage, will word on the street prove to sate their appetites, or as some would say, prove to be "too spicy" for their own good?

Gameplay[]
The arcade controls consist of a light gun and a floor pad with arrows both left and right. These pads are used to run between cover options around the map.
Aiming the lightgun at the screen will bring the player's character out of cover and allow them to shoot, whilst pulling the trigger will, of course, shoot.
When pointing the lightgun away from the screen, the characters will automatically take cover and reload their bullets but be unable to fire back.
Cover can be blown up, and doing so will cause damage to the person behind them.
The Arcade mode consists of several rounds with a timelimit in which the player must take down their opponent in order to progress. Each round will grant a player a different unique skill, including a zoom in scope ability if the crosshairs are kept still long enough, rapid fire skill and a snipe ability.
These duel levels are interspliced with minigame stages that involve the player having to dodge barrels, avoid being hit by a car whilst taking the driver out or survive a barrage of grenades being thrown at them by shooting them midair.
Each of the playable characters have their own unique guns, magazines and stats that vastly alters how the character plays.
Trivia[]
- Every single member of the playable cast are incredibly realistic looking robots known. Each character has a unique weak point that when shot reveals their true metal robotic body underneath the fake skin.
- For an arcade title, 2 Spicy has a surprisingly long run time with some playthroughs for the arcade mode, lasting at least 25 minutes for an average play through.
- On top of the six main playable characters there are two additional secret characters that can be used for versus mode; Cindy and Shadow. Cindy uses a grenade launcher, whilst Shadow's official weapon is described as ??? as it changes each round.
- To unlock these characters players must input the following on the arcade cabinet: L-R-S-L-S-R-R-L-S-S (L:Press left pedal. R:Press right pedal. S:Shooting at the screen.)[1]
